On March 7, TONOZUKA Kent, office manager and English language coordinator public affairs section at the U.S. Consulate in Osaka, and SAKATA Ryuji, public engagement and youth outreach coordinator public affairs section, visited TAMAKI Hisashi, the director of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships and executive vice president of Kobe University.

The meeting was also attended by TANAKA Junko, professor at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies and the director of the Americas Division of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships, and INOUE Hiroki, professor at the Graduate School of Intercultural Studies.

During the meeting, after Tamaki extended his welcome, Tonozuka made a proposal regarding educational and research programs involving cooperation between universities and companies in the U.S. and Japan, and an exchange of opinions took place.

Through this visit, it is hoped that academic exchanges between the two countries will deepen further in the future.
